The 2024-25 season was another incredible one for Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Nikita Kucherov. In 78 games, he recorded 37 goals, 84 assists, and a plus-22 rating. He also led the NHL with 121 points, capturing his second straight Art Ross Trophy because of it.

The Art Ross may not be the only award that Kucherov earns because of his excellent 2024-25 campaign. The NHL has announced that Kucherov is among the three finalists for this year's Ted Lindsay Award. The other two players in the mix are Colorado Avalanche stars Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar.

The Ted Lindsay Award is given to the player deemed "the most outstanding player in the NHL" and is voted on by members of the NHLPA.

Given how outstanding of a season Kucherov had in 2024-25, he undoubtedly warrants serious consideration for the Ted Lindsay. No player in the NHL produced more offense than the Lightning superstar this campaign, and he was simply spectacular.

It will now be interesting to see if Kucherov ends up being the winner of the Ted Lindsay Award from here. It would be the second of his career, as he previously won the Ted Lindsay back in 2019.
