The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed former Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Philippe Myers to a two-year, $1.7 million contract extension ($850,000 cap hit). 

Myers, 27, spent the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons with the Lightning organization. In 16 games as a Bolt, he had one goal, two assists, 39 hits, and a minus-2 rating. He also played 113 games in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch, posting 12 goals and 52 points.

Since signing with them this past off-season, Myers has become a solid depth defenseman for the Maple Leafs. In 11 games with the Original Six club this campaign, he has two assists and a plus-1 rating.
