The Tampa Bay Lightning broke their 3 game losing stream on Thursday night with a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks at home. This was an important win for the Bolts as they begin their 5-game homestand and are looking to grab as many points as possible.
Nick Paul opened the scoring early on the power play, stepping in front of the Canucks' clearing attempt and sending the puck over Steven Stamkos. Stamkos took multiple shots before Paul sent the puck into the net.
"We talked about it and that's not the team we want to be. We don’t want to be a losing team," Paul told reporters after the game. "What winning teams do is they answer and we knew we’d answer. Jeano stepped up big and got the energy going and then from there we just kind of built off it and took it over.”
