It is going to take a lot of time to get used to seeing Steven Stamkos in a Predators jersey.

Even after two weeks, it is still incredibly hard to believe that Steven Stamkos is a member of the Nashville Predators. It is something that will sting for Tampa Bay Lightning fans for a long time, as he is a legend who captained the club to two Stanley Cups.

For the first time in his career, Stamkos has now officially worn an NHL team jersey that wasn’t the Lightning’s. On Tuesday, the Predators posted a picture of Stamkos in the club’s home jersey with a very fitting caption:

“can u believe this is a real photo [?]”

It is fair to assume that most people would answer that question with a clear ‘no.’

While it is strange to see Stamkos rocking the Predators yellow, it is something Lightning fans and the rest of the hockey world will need to get used to. However, while he is with the Predators now, he will forever be remembered most for his Hall of Fame career as a Bolt.
