Steven Stamkos did something remarkable in a Bauer ad back in the day.
Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos is known for having an excellent shot. It is why he has scored 534 goals over his 1,048-game career.
To score so many goals, Stamkos has needed to possess not only a hard shot but also an accurate one. However, besides having an outstanding shot on the ice, it is safe to say that he does away from the rink, too.
While at Block Party Live, presented by Jai Alai IPA, earlier last week, Stamkos was asked about a video clip he did for the Bauer MX3 in 2014. In the classic clip, Stamkos successfully shot a 91-yard field goal with a puck. When asked if it was real or CGI, the star center confirmed that it was, in fact, real.
In the Bauer video, Stamkos also hits 40-yard, 50-yard, 60-yard, 70-yard, and 80-yard field goals, which are already excellent. Yet, hitting the 91-yard field goal, his jersey number, was easily his biggest achievement from the video.
Shooting a puck 91 yards (273 feet) is impressive enough but also shooting it successfully through a field goal is even crazier. Check out the video down below to see it.
