If there's anything the Toronto Maple Leafs can fall back on in a do-or-die Game 7 against the Florida Panthers, it's Joseph Woll's stellar play in elimination games.

The 26-year-old has a 4-1 record, including a shutout, and a .958 save percentage when facing elimination in the playoffs. Woll had a shutout for the Maple Leafs in Game 6, forcing a series finale at home in front of the Toronto fans.

"He's got that composure kind of just in him," Rielly said ahead of Game 7. "So here tonight, our job is to try to help him out as much as he can and make the job a little bit easier. But, yeah, he's been great. He handles himself in a great way. He has a composure about him. He's been outstanding."

It's been fascinating to watch Woll handle moments after coming in for Anthony Stolarz in Game 1 of the series against Florida. Stolarz left after throwing up on the bench following Sam Bennett's forearm hit the goaltender in the head.

The 31-year-old has been skating, but as of right now, there's no timeline on when Stolarz will be cleared for game action. Woll has an .893 save percentage through six games against the Panthers since coming into the lineup.

It might not be the flashiest of save percentages, but Woll's been there when the Maple Leafs have needed him most.

"He's come up big in those moments," said William Nylander on Sunday.

Another massive moment is ahead for Woll and the Maple Leafs on Sunday. It's arguably the biggest game for most players on the team. Woll didn't get to play in Game 7 of last year's series against the Boston Bruins after suffering a sprained back at the end of Game 6.

He will, though, step onto the ice on Sunday with fans screaming for Toronto to bring home their first second-round series win since 2002. "I think this is a pretty special opportunity for our team," Woll said. "I think we feel good going in, and we know our process. Just going to take that through."

Game 7 gets underway shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET inside Scotiabank Arena. The Maple Leafs have the chance to change the narrative of their team, with Woll leading them at the back and Auston Matthews leading them from the front.
