The Toronto Maple Leafs are about to embark on their longest road trip of the season, so it's forgivable that the club elected to hold their annual Halloween party a little early.

On Wednesday, Ryan Reaves took to his Instagram to show off his Snoop Dogg costume, while his wife, Alanna went as Martha Stewart.

"We were in the Uber going to the party yesterday, and the guy actually asked me if I was a rapper because he didn't know that Halloween was this early," Reaves joked. "I guess I pulled it off well."

The Maple Leafs are on the road until Oct. 28 and then have one game before heading back to the road on Nov. 1, making it difficult to squeeze in a regular Halloween party around the 31st.

The party featured team captain John Tavares going as a hippie. Mitch Marner went was the Pink Panther and Reaves dished on a group of four players (Auston Matthews, Morgan Rielly, Matthew Knies and Fraser Minten) who went as speedskaters.

"I heard they rollerbladed in too, so they were probably sweating on the way," Reaves said.
