Prime Video is now the exclusive home of National NHL games on Mondays for the next two seasons.

If you want to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs in Canada on a Monday next season, make sure you have an Amazon Prime subscription.

The NHL, in conjunction with Rogers and Amazon, announced a new two-year deal that will see Prime Video become the exclusive streaming partner for Monday broadcasts in Canada.

'Prime Monday Night Hockey' will stream all national regular season Monday night NHL games in English for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 NHL seasons," The NHL said in a joint release. "The deal is the NHL’s first exclusive national broadcast package with a digital-only streaming service in Canada. The Prime Monday Night Hockey package, produced by Prime Video, will feature a new broadcast team offering in-depth analysis and play-by-play coverage, and stream live exclusively to Prime members in Canada."

The is Amazon's first foray into becoming an exclusive streaming partner for sports in Canada. Rogers signed a 12-year, $5.2 billion (CDN) deal back in 2013 and that sold off the exclusive Monday rights as part of this current agreement.

The current Amazon deal expires at the same time that Rogers' 12-year pact with the league wraps up.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are expected to be a hot ticket as part of this package. If you want to watch Maple Leafs games on Monday in Canada, you will need a Prime Video subscription, something that comes with an Amazon Prime subscription.

An announcement on a new talent team for the broadcast is expected at a later date.
