Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll Performs 'Interstellar' at Blue and White Gala, Reunited with Piano From His Stay During 2020 NHL Playoffs Bubble

Joseph Woll hasn't been able to play in a game since suffering a high-ankle sprain on Dec. 7, but that hasn't stopped him from being able to perform.

At his team's annual Blue and White gala, the Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender tickled the ivories by performing 'Interstellar' on the piano.

If the performance looks familiar, it's because Woll was captured performing the same song on the same piano inside the Royal York Hotel in 2020 when the Maple Leafs stayed there as part of the 2020 NHL playoffs bubble. He only had teammates and essential staff, who recorded his performance for social media.

Woll has been on the ice and recently took part in one of the team's morning skates, but his return to the Maple Leafs lineup isn't "imminent" according to Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe.

The plan for Woll is for him to return to team practices when the club returns from their NHL-mandated bye week, which begins after the Maple Leafs visit the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.
