Domi has been active this summer, sharing his offseason activities across Instagram and TikTok ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
Social media has rapidly become a key way for fans to connect with their favorite teams and players. For the Toronto Maple Leafs, forward Max Domi has been particularly active during the 2024 offseason, sharing updates on vacation, lifestyle, and training sessions as he prepares for his second season in the blue and white.
And he’s quickly become beloved in Toronto.
On Monday, Domi gave his fans a peek into his day on the golf course with Kyle Forgeard of 'The Nelk Boys,' a popular Canadian YouTube and entertainment group, through his latest Instagram story.
Forgeard shared a photo of the duo, captioned, “Goodwood,” referring to a course in Stouffville, Ontario, and added, “Great day on the links @max”. Domi reposted the story to his feed, saying, “Awesome day” with a fist pump emoji and tagging the creator.

Domi isn’t the first Maple Leafs player who has been seen hanging out with Forgeard and The Nelk Boys. Superstar forward Auston Matthews has also posted images with the influencer, including a 2019 photo with Forgeard and digital creator ‘mtvjesse.’

More recently, Matthews and Forgeard were spotted together at UFC 303 at the end of June.

This summer has been busy for Domi, who has been documenting his offseason activities as he gears up for the upcoming 2024-25 NHL season. From intense training sessions to adopting a new kitten and even creating an Instagram account for ‘Hugh’, Domi's social media presence has been prominent. The golf outing with Forgeard is just the latest in a series of recent posts that have kept fans updated with his summer.
The 29-year-old recently signed a four-year, $15 million contract with Toronto on July 1. He is coming off a 47-point regular season with the Leafs where he scored nine goals and added 38 assists. In the club's opening-round playoff series against the Boston Bruins, he contributed a goal and three assists, tying Auston Matthews and now-former Leafs forward Tyler Bertuzzi for the team lead with four points.
As the offseason winds down and the start of the new hockey season approaches, it will be interesting to see where Domi fits in with all the change. The Leafs have yet to drastically change their offensive prowess, potentially carving out a bigger role for Domi under new head coach Craig Berube.
Time will tell, but after finding his footing in the second half of the season, Domi seems determined to continue his upward trajectory in 2024-25.
