Domi secured a four-year, $15 million contract extension with the Leafs earlier this summer.
Since joining the Toronto Maple Leafs in the summer of 2023, forward Max Domi has demonstrated undeniable passion for the organization. It became evident through his devotion on the ice that Domi enjoyed donning the blue and white jersey.
At 29 years old, Domi was set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2023-24 season, leaving uncertainty about his future with the team. However, earlier this summer, he signed a four-year, $15 million contract extension with the Leafs, solidifying his place in Toronto for the foreseeable future.
Once the pen was put to paper, the forward was back in the gym training. Domi has showcased his sessions in various Instagram posts over the past few weeks displaying a range of workouts, including boxing, speed training, and dryland exercises.
On Friday, Domi posted an inspiring TikTok video on his account, titled “Locked in @torontomapleleafs,” highlighting his preparation for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign. Set to heart-pounding music, the video includes clips of him weight training in a pool, sprinting outdoors with heavy weights strapped to his waist, performing on-ice puck drills, and engaging in boxing cardio.
Fans of Leafs nation took to the comment section to express their excitement over the video, with one commenter writing, “Get ready for a career year,” while another added, “Fire me up, Max,” and “Bring (the) Stanley (Cup) to Toronto.”
Reflecting on the team's disappointing first-round playoff exit against the Boston Bruins in their opening-round, seven-game series, Domi expressed a shared sense of unfinished business in the locker room.
“The only thing we're all concerned about is winning,” said Domi. “I know I keep talking about it but that's really all we care about in this locker room is just finding a way to win.”
He seems ready to take on a significant role in the charge in 2024-25.

The former first-round pick notched nine goals and 38 assists in 80 games last season. He added another goal and three assists in seven games against the Bruins, boasting an impressive 67.5% faceoff win percentage during his time at center. Domi proved to be a crucial part of the Leafs' offense down the stretch and will continue to play a versatile role when the 2024-25 season begins this fall.
As Domi gears up for his second season with the Leafs, his determination and focus are evident. His motivational social media content, capturing his offseason efforts, is a testament to his commitment to elevate this team to new heights next season.
