Kampf and Pacioretty are both on long-term injured reserve while Domi is on injured reserve.

A couple of familiar faces were spotted on the ice inside Scotiabank Arena ahead of the Toronto Maple Leafs' morning skate.

David Kampf skated all by himself well before Toronto's morning skate on Monday got underway. He was moved from injured reserve to long-term injured reserve on Nov. 20 and has been out of Toronto's lineup with a lower-body injury since the team's 4-3 overtime win against the Edmonton Oilers on Nov. 16.

It's the first time he's been seen skating since coming out of the lineup with the injury. Kampf cannot return to the Maple Leafs lineup until Dec. 14 due to the league's LTIR rules (must miss 10 games and 24 days).

He was placed on LTIR to make room for Nikita Grebenkin, who came up from the Toronto Marlies to help fill the club's lineup.

Max Pacioretty and Max Domi participated in the Maple Leafs' morning skate.

Pacioretty has been on LTIR since Nov. 20 to make space for Fraser Minten's call-up to the NHL. The veteran forward has been out since Nov. 9 with a lower-body injury.  He can return on Dec. 7 when Toronto takes on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Domi hasn't played since Nov. 16 and is on IR with a lower-body injury. He's eligible to return at any point.

Here's how Toronto's lines shaped up ahead of their game against the Blackhawks:

The Maple Leafs also placed Jani Hakanpaa on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, retroactive to Nov. 16, meaning he can return at any moment. Toronto called up Marshall Rifai from the Marlies in conjunction with the move.

Jake McCabe wasn't on the ice for the morning skate after leaving Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning after taking a puck to the head.

Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube said after the game that the defenseman would be okay and wouldn't miss any time.

"He'll be fine," Berube said on Saturday.

The team is coming off a two-game split in Florida, where they lost 5-1 to the Florida Panthers and won 5-3 against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

The Maple Leafs had Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies return to the lineup in their win against the Lightning. Knies had a goal and an assist while Matthews registered two assists in his first game since Nov. 3.

    Where To Watch

Toronto has yet to face the Blackhawks this season. Former Maple Leafs Tyler Bertuzzi and TJ Brodie are set to return to Toronto for the first time since leaving the team in free agency this past summer.

Puck drop is scheduled for shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET. In Canada, you can find the game on Amazon Prime.
