The trolling from the Ottawa Senators continued late Monday.

Late on Monday, the club launched its Valentine's Day card promotion on their social media channels. The featured post saw Greig pose for a slapshot with the title: 'Ridly Me This, Will You Be My Valentine. In the graphic, it features Ridly winding up for a slapshot, a not-so-subtle dig as his slapshot empty net goal that sparked a reaction from Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly on Saturday.

With the Senators up on the Maple Leafs 4-3, Greig found himself alone with the puck on an empty net when the Ottawa forward elected to put the goal with a slapshot. Rielly responded by approaching Greig and delivering a cross-check to the head of the forward.

Rielly was offered an in-person hearing on Tuesday, which could see the Maple Leafs defenseman suspended for six games or more. His hearing has since been changed to a Zoom call due to a snowstorm in the New York area.

Greig was not injured on the play and took part in Ottawa's practice on Monday. He declined to talk to the media about the incident.

The Maple Leafs and Senators do not play in any games against each other for the remainder of the regular season but the 'Battle of Ontario' certainly hasn't been this interesting in quite some time.
