Toronto used Mickie Krause's "Dup Dup" in their 7-4 win over Minnesota on Saturday night.
The Maple Leafs will continue to change their goal song.
The remix of Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness" was met with some criticism after it was played after every goal during Toronto's home opener. It has since been "shelved," The Canadian Press reports.
The article also states that MLSE is aware of the concerns with Cudi's lyric "Driving drunk, I'm doin' my thang" even though that part of the song wasn't played following a Maple Leafs goal last Wednesday.
The expectation is that the team will use all different kinds of genres for goal songs during the season with different sounds during Original Six team games, 'Throwback Thursday' nights, and during the three 'Next Generation Games' this season, per the Toronto Sun's Lance Hornby.
Following Wednesday's home opener last week, Ryan Reaves said he'd remember the goal song most from his debut with the Maple Leafs.
"I took a listen a little," Reaves said when asked how involved he was in the goal song change. "We had some discussions."
"I don't really know Hall and Oates, I just know that's not a goal song." Reaves continued with a smile.

According to The Canadian Press, the Maple Leafs are looking for a song that energizes both the players and fans. There is said to be another song being thrown into the rotation on Monday night when Toronto takes on the Chicago Blackhawks.
