Woll was reportedly nearing an extension just days before making it official on Monday,
Joseph Woll is officially the Toronto Maple Leafs' goaltender of the official.
The club put pen to paper on a brand new three-year contract extension worth an average annual value of $3.66 million.
NHL Insider Kevin Weekes reported last week that Woll was nearing a three-year extension in the $3.5-$4 million range.
Woll is entering the final year of a contract that pays him $766,667 per season, which is an incredible value for Toronto considering the role he occupies within the organization.
There is no question of the 25-year-old Woll's capability. In 36 NHL regular season games, Woll has posted a 22-13-1 record and a .915 save percentage. During the 2024 playoffs, the goaltender on in relief of Ilya Samsonov in Game 4 of the series and didn't relinquish the net after helping his team defeat the Boston Bruins in Games 5 and 6 to force a deciding Game 7.

The Leafs have injury concerns, but it's not deterring them from trying to get value from Woll before his price potentially goes up.
Woll has appeared in 39 career NHL games with Toronto and has posted a 23-13-1 record with a 2.65 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.
