The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed prospect Miroslav Holinka to a three-year, entry-level contract.

A fifth-round pick (151st overall) in the 2024 NHL Draft, Holinka scored 45 points (19 goals and 26 assists) in 47 games with the WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings last season. He had the sixth-most points on the Oil Kings (the fifth-most goals and seventh-most assists).

Holinka participated in the 2025 World Junior Championships with Czechia, scoring one goal and three assists in seven games at the tournament. It was the ninth-most points on a Czechia team that went on to win bronze after defeating Sweden 3-2.

The 6-foot-2, 202-pound center has participated in the last two development camps with Toronto. He was also part of the Maple Leafs' prospects team, which travelled to Montreal for two games against the Canadiens' rookies last September.

Holinka is the second 2024 draft selection to be signed to an entry-level contract by Toronto, with the first being first-round (31st overall) pick Ben Danford. The forward's size fits the bill of big, bulky players, which Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving likes to have on his team.

Before coming to North America last fall, the 19-year-old played two seasons with HC Oceláři Třinec in the Czech league.
