Signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, Gaudette was traded to St. Louis Blues as part of the package that brought Ryan O’Reilly to the Toronto.
Adam Gaudette has found a home with the St. Louis Blues.
The forward signed a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Wednesday. The deal pays him $775,000 at the NHL level and $400,000 in the AHL.
The Toronto Maple Leafs signed Gaudette last summer to a one-year, one-way contract worth the NHL-minimum $750,000. Despite the one-way deal, Gaudette never got a shot with the Maple Leafs and spent his entire time with the Toronto Marlies where he scored 20 goals and added 14 assists in 40 games.
Gaudette was moved to the Blues in February in the deal that sent forwards Ryan O’Reilly and Noel Acciari to Toronto, The Blues got a first and third-round pick in 2023, a second-round pick in 2024 and forward Mikhail Abramov as part of the deal.
The 26-year-old spent his entire time with Blues’ AHL affiliate in Springfield where he had seven goals and 10 assists in 25 games.
