The Hockey News has learned that Leafs Lunch has been canceled.
Leafs Lunch launched in 2013, two years after TSN Radio was launched in the Toronto market to compete with THE FAN 590, now Sportsnet 590 The Fan. Prior to that, various editions of Leafs or NHL programming dominated the time slot.
Initially hosted by Bryan Hayes and Jamie McLennan, Andi Petrillo served as host of the show until 2021 when she stepped away to focus on other media responsibilities.
Mike DiStefano and Julia Tocheri had been serving as hosts in the latest iteration of the show.
On Wednesday, Bell Media revealed they were cutting 1300 jobs and were shuttering and/or selling various radio stations, including TSN 1260 in Edmonton.
Listeners hoping to tune into Leafs Lunch on Wednesday heard ESPN radio programming instead.
TSN 1050 will continue to operate.
