Could Ryan Reaves become one of the newest members of the Toronto Maple Leafs?

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the club may be looking to add some toughness to the team's bottom six forward group and Reaves is someone that GM Brad Treliving could be looking at.

"I think that’s possible if he does not sign in Minnesota," Friedman wrote. The Maple Leafs are looking to beef up their bottom six. Reaves and Austin Watson are possibilities. Maybe Miles Wood, too, depending on what he’s looking for."

Reaves is coming off a season in which he earned $1.75 million and split his time between the New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild. He scored five goals and added 10 assists in 73 games and ranked 25th in the NHL last season in hits per 60 minutes played at 17.28.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Reaves would certainly help add a physical presence to the Leafs.

Watson played in 75 games last season and scored nine goals and added two assists while with the Ottawa Senators. He is 6-foot-4 and 204 pounds.

Wood might provide the most offensive upside of the three options. He had 13 goals and 14 assists in 76 games last season.
