Marner’s Canadian Grand Prix weekend included teaching F1 drivers how to shoot as the forward presented drivers with a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey.
Mitch Marner wasn’t going to let a busy offseason with his Toronto Maple Leafs get in the way of some fun.
The dynamic forward went to Montreal this past weekend to take in the F1 Canadian Grand Prix.
Marner linked up with F1 Team Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
Among the activities over the weekend included Marner helping teach the F1 drivers how to shoot on a net.
On Sunday, Marner presented both drivers with a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey.
You can expect to see a lot of Marner this summer. Every year his Marner Assistant Foundation hosts events in July.
Marner has an endorsement deal with the energy drink brand and according to Canadian media analyst Adam Seaborn, the Maple Leafs forward leads the NHL in endorsement deals with 10.
The Maple Leafs have undergone some changes at the managerial level. Brad Treliving replaced Kyle Dubas as general manager last month and changes to the team's personnel may or may not include breaking up the core four players.
Marner has a no-move clause that kicks in on July 1 and has two years remaining on his contract that carries a salary cap hit of $10.903 million.
