Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe says the defenseman is still in Vancouver on baby watch until something happens on that front despite a report saying he would be in the lineup on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers.

Luke Schenn is not expected to dress for the Toronto Maple Leafs when they host the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
This is despite a report that surfaced earlier in the morning from former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Jay Rosehill.
“No update other than to say that he’s still at home with his wife and nothing has changed there. They’re still on baby watch,” Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said of Schenn.
Both Schenn and his wife, Jeska Peczek, are expecting their third child any day now. After making his Maple Leafs return against the Calgary Flames on Mar. 3, Schenn the child was due "in 12 days".
When the Leafs returned from Vancouver following their five-game road trip, Schenn stayed in Vancouver so both he and his wife can wait out the situation while also trying to get the situation settled.

The Leafs acquired Schenn from the Vancouver Canucks last week in exchange for a 2023 third-round draft pick.
"It’s a tricky one to navigate here but what’s most important is that he’s there for his wife and his family. We’re in full support of that," Keefe added. "Once there is some movement there, he’ll rejoin the team.
Schenn is continuing to skate daily while in Vancouver. Earlier in the day, former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Jay Rosehill tweeted that Schenn was set to return to Toronto
Schenn and Rosehill were teammates for parts of three seasons during Luke's first go-around with the Maple Leafs, so it's understandable they'd be close and it's likely the information was truthful at some point. Rosehill later gave an explanation following Keefe's comments.
Fans of the Maple Leafs have been waiting for Schenn's homecoming in Toronto, but they'll have to wait just a little bit longer.
"It's amazing the journey and path he's been on," Maple Leafs captain John Tavares said of Schenn. "It's kind of funny how things come around; He's had a lot of success over the years and is going to be a key component for us moving forward."
In two games with the Leafs this season, the 33-year-old Schenn has averaged 11:26 of ice time while delivering seven hits.
