"To my lovely wife, kids and family, thank you for always being by my side through the ups and downs. You have always supported me and helped me achieve my childhood dream and be my biggest fans. "Now I'm heading into the next chapter of life - retirement." Bernier spent three seasons with the Maple Leafs, appearing in 151 games and putting up a 59-68-17 record and a .915 save percentage. Over the span of his entire career, the 35-year-old had a 165-163-40 record and a .912 save percentage. There are a lot of moments that Maple Leafs fans will remember about Bernier, but none more than his preseason fight with then Buffalo Sabre, Ryan Miller. Back in 2009, before Bernier became a regular goaltender at the NHL level, he put up incredible numbers with the AHL's Manchester Monarchs. His .936 save percentage through 56 games during 2009-10 remains one of the most impressive seasons for an AHL goaltender to date.
