The 29-year-old forward has 22 goals and 30 assists for 52 points in 50 games this season with Pittsburgh. Bunting, who signed a three-year, $13.5 million deal with Carolina on July 1, isn't producing as much as he did last season with the Maple Leafs. The 28-year-old forward has 13 goals and 23 assists through 60 games this season. Dubas signed Bunting to a two-year, $1.9 million deal on July 28, 2021, while GM of the Maple Leafs. The pair go way back, as they spent time together in the Soo Greyhounds organization during the 2013-14 season, where Dubas was the general manager and Bunting was an OHL rookie.
