Breaking news: According to Cole Bagley of KSL Sports, Connor Ingram of the Utah Mammoth will not attend training camp. The plan for both him and the team is to find him a new home somewhere else in the NHL.

Utah’s general manager Bill Armstrong confirmed that the organization’s plan is to eventually place him on waivers.

If Ingram is placed on waivers, it will allow all 31 other NHL teams to take a chance at claiming him. Unless something unexpected happens, it’s safe to say Ingram will be part of a new NHL organization by the start of the 2025-26 season.

Ingram was recently cleared by the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program to return to the NHL after re-entering it back in March due to a personal matter.

The hope is that Ingram can return to playing in the NHL and continue his career for as long as possible. The Mammoth are working with him to help get him situated with a new team.

The Mammoth’s training camp is set to open today with media day, followed by physicals and fitness testing. After the announcement that Ingram won’t be attending, it makes it clear that the organization is going with the Czechia duo of Karel Vejmelka and Vitek Vanecek between the pipes this season.
