The Arizona Coyotes have reportedly cut ties with 2018 seventh round pick Liam Kirk as the 23-year-old now plans to play overseas.

The Arizona Coyotes have reportedly put forward Liam Kirk on unconditional waivers according to PHNX’s Craig Morgan.

Morgan also reported that Kirk has already signed with HC VERVA Litvínov in the Czech Extraliga upon being put on waivers by Arizona.

The Coyotes selected Kirk with the 189th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. Since being drafted it's been a tough road for Kirk.

The now 23-year-old has dealt with a multitude of injuries over the years. This past season, Kirk started off with the Coyotes AHL affiliate the Tucson Roadrunners after recovering from a knee injury but only played one game before being demoted to the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL.

Kirk was the first player born and developed in England to be taken in the NHL draft. While his journey with the Coyotes may be done for now, he still will have an opportunity to prove himself as he continues to play overseas.
