

Last night, the Utah Hockey Club played their final game of the 2024-25 season.
It was a season of firsts—their first goal, their first win—everything was new. There was a ton of excitement and joy surrounding this team and what they could do with a new ownership group.
They started from scratch, and with the help of their owner Ryan Smith, he guided them through all the challenges that come with a brand-new hockey team.
Utah played very well this season. They exceeded expectations, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to make the playoffs.
Irregardless, that’s a good first step for a new organization. They’re going to build off this season during the off-season and look to add via trade at the NHL Draft or sign a big name in free agency.
