The Utah Hockey Club is opening a new practice and training facility on Sept. 1, the team announced earlier this week.
The facility will be 115,780 square feet and will be built in the southeastern end. It will feature two standard NHL ice rinks and include training, medical, locker room, and dining areas for team use.
Utah HC owner Ryan Smith spoke about the new facility being opened.
"We want to be competitive in the NHL, and to do that you got to have a place where these guys can practice, and they can recover, and it's home," Smith said. "We did a miraculous job with the Oval, but at the same time that's not this."
Smith was referencing the Utah Olympic Oval, which was used as the team's practice arena this season. With the new facility set to open in September, both the team and visiting teams will practice there.
The new practice facility will be open to the public in January 2026 and will feature numerous attractions for fans, including a team store.
