Recently, Utah Mammoth Chief Communications Officer Caroline Klein passed away after a long battle with cancer. Originally, I debated writing about it because it was tragic and, out of respect for her family, I held off. That was until I read Caroline's beautifully written goodbye to Mammoth fans and felt it was worth sharing.

So, here is Klein's goodbye, shared by her family after she passed away.

It is a very touching blog written by her based on her cancer diagnosis and how it affected her life. Sadly, after a lengthy battle, she took her last breath and her "soul is on a thoughtful search for its next great adventure."

During her battle with cancer, she mentioned that she lived life to the fullest. "As my sister said, I drove an F1 car full speed the entire time from diagnosis to death, seeking laughter, beauty, love, joy, adventure, and awe at every turn, and soaking up every possible moment with the people I love the most."

She shared a piece of her story that she wanted to live on with everyone after she was gone. "If one positive thing was going to come from my tragic situation, I hoped it would be that people stopped waiting for permission to truly live and started doing the things that brought them joy instead of constantly focusing on satisfying the expectations of others."

Caroline left behind her husband, Mike, and her friends and family.

Before she wrapped up her note, she described life with a quote that truly stood out to me: "Life is beautiful in the way that it’s a timeless adventure." Be sure to hug your loved ones and check in on those who need help. But most importantly, live life to the fullest, because you never truly know when it will be your time.
