The 2025 NHL trade deadline is less than 48 hours away, with some big-name players projected to be traded by Friday. Some names to watch include New York Islanders Brock Nelson, Pittsburgh Penguins Rickard Rakall as well as Vancouver Canucks Brock Boeser. The deadline has even drawn the attention of betting sites, including PlayNow Sports, which has released prop bets on whether players will be dealt or not.

As of March 3, 2025, at 2:30 pm PT, PlayNow Sports is offering prop bets on eight players. Each prop has a yes or no option and is open until news breaks on a trade or Friday, March 7, 2025, at 9:00 am. Here is a look at three prop bets that involve either Canucks players or players that have been mentioned in rumours as possible targets for Vancouver.

*Note: Below is not suggested betting advice but rather information on what bets are available.

The only player currently on the Canucks with a prop bet is Boeser. The pending unrestricted free agent is at 1.91 for both "yes" or "no," meaning a $10.00 bet returns $19.10. While it will be tough to see Boeser be traded before the deadline, it could be for the best, especially if Vancouver has no intention of re-signing him.

As for players that have been linked to the Canucks, the first is Dylan Cozens. The Buffalo Sabres center's name has been brought up multiple times this season as a potential trade target for Vancouver. Looking at his betting prop, PlayNow has Cozen's not be traded before the deadline or "no" at 1.35, which returns $13.57 on a $10.00 bet, compared to "yes" at 2.80, which returns $28 on a $10.00 bet.

Lastly, one player that was mentioned earlier this season is Montréal Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson. The former Penguins defender is a long shot to be traded, according to PlayNow Sports, with "no" at 1.08, which returns $10.08 on a $10.00 bet. As for "yes," that is listed at 6.00, which, on a $10.00 bet, returns $60.00.

The 2025 NHL trade deadline is set for noon PT on Friday, March 7, 2025.
