The Abbotsford Canucks captured their third win of the 2025 Calder Cup Finals after an impressive 3-2 win in Game 4 over the Charlotte Checkers. Thursday was yet another example of a full-team effort as many stepped up in order to capture the victory. Here is a look at three standouts from Game 4.

    Jonathan Lekkerimäki

It took a while, but Jonathan Lekkerimäki finally had his breakout game of the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Vancouver Canucks 2022 first round pick led the way with two goals, while recording four shots. Named the first star of the game, Lekkerimäki was well worth the price of admission on Thursday.

Lekkerimäki has had a difficult post-season so far, but stepped up when his team needed him most. Both his goals were scored off the rush, with the game-winner coming off a partial breakaway. Ultimately, Lekkerimäki looked confident throughout Game 4, which will hopefully continue when the two teams hit the ice again on Saturday.

    Ty Mueller

Ty Mueller has become Mr. reliable for Abbotsford this post-season. He recorded two assists, including a primary one on Lekkerimäki's first-period goal. Mueller also stepped up in faceoff dot, winning some key draws throughout the game.

If the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs has proven anything, it is that Mueller can perform at a high level under pressure. The 22-year-old has 11 points in 22 games, and has been a massive part of the Canucks penalty kill. If he can keep playing at this level, another NHL stint could be in his future for next season.

    Arshdeep Bains

Arshdeep Bains loves scoring goals at the Abbotsford Centre. He recorded his sixth of the post-season in Game 4, with all but one of his goal coming at home. Bains also recorded three shots for the second straight game, while being named the third star of the night.

Bains has led by example throughout the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs. He is now up to 20 points in 22 games, which ranks second in the AHL behind Linus Karlsson. Based on the way he has been playing over the past two games, a big Game 5 could be in his future on Saturday.
