    Former Vancouver Canucks center Nick Bonino has officially retired from pro hockey. The 37-year-old spent last season with HK Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenia, where he had 17 points in 22 games. Next year, Bonino will begin his coaching career, as he has joined the Pittsburgh Penguins staff for the 2025-26 season.  

    Bonino was traded to the Canucks in 2014 in the Ryan Kelser blockbuster. He played 75 games with Vancouver, recording 15 goals and 39 points. Bonino's time with the Canucks was short, as he was traded during the 2015 off-season to the Penguins.

    Overall, Bonino played 868 NHL games with seven franchises. During his career, he scored 159 goals and recorded 358 points. Bonino also won two Stanley Cups and represented Team USA at the World Championship three times.
