The Vancouver Canucks take on the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.
The Vancouver Canucks (8-4-3) will have their eyes set on a bounce-back performance as they welcome Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks (6-10-1) to Rogers Arena on Saturday night. Vancouver is coming off one of their worst performances of the season as they fell at home to the New York Islanders 5-2 on Thursday night. As for the Blackhawks, they also come into this game having lost their last game, which was a 3-1 defeat to the Seattle Kraken.

From a Canucks perspective, the team cannot afford to have a similar performance as they did on Thursday. Vancouver is now 2-3-3 at home, with things getting so bad that Head Coach Rick Tocchet had to apologize to the fans for his team's play at Rogers Arena. With the noise in the marketplace starting the build, the Canucks need to come out of the gate strong and play with energy throughout the game.
Players to Watch:
Dakota Joshua:
Playing in his second game of the season, Dakota Joshua will be relied upon to be a physical presence on the ice once again. He started his season with four hits against the Islanders and should be able to start racking up the hit totals as he did last season. Projected to play on a line with Teddy Blueger and Conor Garland, Joshua could be a difference-maker on Saturday night.
Connor Bedard:
The biggest story heading into this game is Bedard's first NHL game in Vancouver. The reigning Calder Trophy winner has two points in two games against the Canucks in his career but is still looking for his first goal against the team he grew up cheering on. With plenty of family and friends in the stands, Bedard could be in store for a big night at Rogers Arena.
