Vancouver Canucks prospect Basile Sansonnens 2024-25 season has officially concluded. Sansonnens was participating in the 2025 Memorial Cup with the Rimouski Océanic, but was unable to advance past the round-robin. The Swiss defenders' final game took place on Wednesday, when Rimouski fell 6-2 to the Moncton Wildcats.

Sansonnens had a quiet tournament, as he did not record a point in the three games. The 2024 seventh-rounder played on the second pair and finished with a plus/minus of -3. Overall, it was a tough tournament for the Océanic, as they failed to pick up a victory in front of their home fans.
As for next season, Sansonnens is scheduled to head back to Switzerland and re-join Lausanne HC. The 18-year-old was loaned to Rimouski for the 2024-25 season, and has already signed a contract in the NL for next year. While rosters have not been released yet, Sansonnens will most likely be in attendance for this year's Canucks development camp, which will occur after the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
