The Vancouver Canucks play their first post-trade deadline game on Friday when they battle the Chicago Blackhawks. Due to trades, Vancouver's lineup will look different, with exact lines avaliable during warmups. Here are the lineup notes for March 6, 2026.
In net on Friday will be Nikita Tolopilo. The 25-year-old was sent down to the AHL in the morning, but this was a "paper transaction" meaning that he is still eligable to play. In 12 games this season, Tolopilo has a 3-5-2 record with a save percentage of .901.
As for the skaters, despite reports saying he wouldn't play, Evander Kane is expected to return to the lineup. Due to the roster moves made today, the Canucks only have 12 forwards and six defenceman in Chicago. Aatu Räty is also projected to join the lineup as the club moved both Conor Garland and David Kämpf ahead of the deadline.
