One Memorable Canucks Moment Per Month Of 2024
The Canucks closed out 2024 with yet another disappointing effort. Vancouver lost the even-strength scoring chances battle 27-15 while generating just seven high-danger scoring chances compared to 11 against. Ultimately, the Canucks offence stalled, with only the first line able to generate shots on goal in this game.
As for the heatmap, while Vancouver didn't allow a ton of chances from high-danger areas, the Flames still found a way to generate eight high-danger shots. As has been the case for most of the season, Kevin Lankinen kept the Canucks in the game, with only one goal coming off a high-danger shot. In the end, Vancouver once again gave up too many chances while, at the other end of the ice, could not find a way to get pucks on Dustin Wolf.

Lastly, the Canucks best forward trio was Jake DeBrusk, J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser. During their 11:01 together, Vancouver held a 9-4 shots advantage and won the high-danger scoring chances battle 4-0. They also combined for 13 of the team's 24 total shots. In the end, these three stepped up in a big way for the Canucks, but were unable to will the team to a victory on Tuesday night.
We Want To Wish All Our Readers A Happy And Safe New Year From The Entire THN Vancouver Canucks Team.
