The analytics from this game were uneven, as the Canucks spent the third period defending their lead rather than creating offensive chances. The Jets finished the night with a 29-21 even-strength scoring chances advantage while also winning the even-strength high-danger scoring chances battle 18-11. As mentioned, this was due to Vancouver's third-period lead, as Winnipeg recorded six even-strength high-danger chances in the final frame, compared to just one for the Canucks.

When looking at the heatmap, Vancouver did an excellent job of crashing the net and capitalizing on their high-danger chances. The Canucks recorded eight total high-danger shots and were able to beat Connor Hellebuyck on four of them. While it wasn't a great night for the projected Vezina Trophy winner, Vancouver deserves credit for the way they played around the crease and the amount of traffic they were able to create.

When looking at standouts, Drew O'Connor had a very strong night for the Canucks. During his 14:07 of even-strength ice time, Vancouver held a 6-2 shots advantage and won the scoring chances battle 11-6. O'Connor was also able to get on the scoresheet as he had one of his best games since the team returned from the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

To wrap things up, the duo of Quinn Hughes and Tyler Myers put together an impression performance. The pair played 17:58 together at even strength, with the Canucks holding a 9-3 shots advantage during that time. Vancouver also had a 2-0 scoring advantage, as the duo was on the ice for the first and last goal of the game.
