Vancouver fell 4-0 in the first of two meetings with Boston this month.
The Vancouver Canucks (34-12-5) looked sluggish all night as they fell 4-0 to the Boston Bruins (32-10-9). This was the first time the Canucks have lost a game in regulation since Jan. 4, putting an end to their 12-game point steak. Despite the loss, Vancouver will remain at the top of the NHL standings, as they have the most regulation wins in the league.
Outside of the third line, there are very few positives that can be taken away from this game. The Canucks first power play unit once again allowed shorthanded goals again while the team as a whole only managed four shots in both the first and third periods. Hopefully, this game will serve as a learning lesson for Vancouver, as they need to bring their best every night if they want to be genuine Stanley Cup contenders.
