The Canucks start their post-All-Star schedule with a matchup against the Hurricanes.

The Vancouver Canucks (33-11-5) kick off their five-game road trip against the Carolina Hurricanes (28-15-5) on Tuesday night. All eyes will be on Elias Lindholm as he is set to make his Canucks debut against the team that drafted him back in 2013. Vancouver won the previous meeting between these two teams in December and will be looking for their first sweep of the Hurricanes since the 2015-16 season.

As mentioned, the biggest story heading into this game will be how Lindholm fits into Vancouver's lineup. Based on the practice line, he is set to start on the right wing beside Elias Pettersson and Ilya Mikheyev and will get an opportunity to be the net-front presence on the first power play unit. While it may take a few games for him to fully adjust to the Canucks style of play, he should have a positive effect at both even strength and on special teams against the Hurricanes.

Players to Watch

Pius Suter

Pius Suter was one of Vancouver's players leading up to the All-Star break. He had a hat trick against the St. Louis Blues and posted six points in his final three games of January. One of six teams in the NHL he has yet to score against, you know he will be motivated to break the goose egg in his 15th career game against Carolina.

Sebastian Aho

If the Canucks want to win, they will have to shut down Sebastian Aho. He leads the team in points with 54 and is the only Hurricanes player to have eclipsed the 40-point mark this season. A player who has had plenty of success against Vancouver with 12 points in 12 games, he could be in store for a big night if not properly held in check.
