Elias Pettersson and Kevin Lankinen are headed to the 4 Nations Face-Off.

This February, Elias Pettersson and Kevin Lankinen will turn from teammates to rivals at the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off. Pettersson will suit up for Sweden, while Lankinen has earned a spot in Finland's crowded crease. As of writing, four Vancouver Canucks have been selected to teams, with Quinn Hughes representing the U.S.A while Rick Tocchet will be behind the bench as an assistant for Canada.

After a slow start, Pettersson has been lighting up the scoresheet of late. He has eight points in his last four games and is up to 23 in 24 games this year. Pettersson is expected to play a significant role for Team Sweden, which will feature some of the best players in the NHL, including Rasmus Dahlin, Filip Forsberg and William Nylander. The roster will also include former Canucks Elias Lindholm, Jacob Markström and Gustav Forsling.
As for Lankinen, he has been one of the best goaltenders in the league this season. He recently set an NHL record by winning his first ten games on the road and is 12-3-3 through 18 games. Lankinen will have plenty of competition in the crease as he will need to battle both Juuse Saros and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen for starts.
Now that Team Finland and Team Sweden have been announced, all eyes turn to Team Canada and Team U.S.A., who will release their rosters later today. Only one more player from Vancouver's roster is expected to be announced, with that being J.T. Miller, who will represent Team U.S.A. Notable names that are projected to miss the cut are Conor Garland, Thatcher Demko, and Brock Boeser.
The 2025 4 Nations Face-Off is scheduled to start on February 12 in Montreal. The four teams will all play each other, with the top two headed to a championship game. The final game will be played in Boston on February 20 at 5:00 pm PT.
