With the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics scheduled for next February, ideas of finalized rosters are starting to trickle in. Today, USA Hockey announced that Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes and forward Conor Garland have been invited to the team’s Olympic Orientation Camp, which runs from August 23 to 24.
Hughes has already been named to Team USA’s Olympic roster as one of six players preliminarily selected. Prior to this, he was named to USA’s team for the 4 Nations Faceoff but ultimately did not play due to injury. This will be his first time representing the USA in international play since the IIHF World Championship back in 2018-19.
Garland will join the Olympic Orientation Camp with three years of experience at the IIHF World Championships under his belt. The forward most recently won a Gold Medal with Team USA back in May, helping his country to this milestone for the first time in 92 years. During this tournament, he amassed a total of five goals and five assists in 10 games played.
