The Canucks have officially selected Niklas Aaram-Olsen with the 41st pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

The Vancouver Canucks have selected Niklas Aaram-Olsen 41st overall in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old left-shot winger played last season in the U20 Nationell with Örebro HK U20. In 29 games, Aaram-Olsen scored 20 goals while producing 40 points.

Aaram-Olsen was the first player from Norway selected in the 2026 draft. He represented his country at both the 2026 U18s and the most recent D1A World Juniors. At the D1A World Juniors, Aaram-Olsen finished with 10 points in five games, which was tied for the team lead.

Next season, Aaram-Olsen will be headed to Boston University in the NCAA. This is the same school Caleb Malhotra will attend in 2026-27. Aaram-Olsen is also projected to be part of Norway's 2027 D1A World Juniors team.
