Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Rick Tocchet met with the media following practice on Wednesday and provided some injury updates on Derek Forbort and Dakota Joshua. As reported by Harman Dayal of "The Athletic," Forbort will be out week-to-week with a lower-body injury, while Joshua will have to wait a little longer before making his season debut. The Canucks next game is scheduled for Thursday night when they wrap up their California road trip with a matchup against the L.A. Kings.

After returning from a leave of absence, Forbort was injured during practice on Monday. While the specific details of what happened aren't clear, Dayal reported that Forbort left favouring his leg. Forbort has played four games so far this season, recording one assist while averaging 16:30 of ice time.
Joshua is still recovering from offseason surgery to remove a cancerous tumour. While Tocchet did say on Tuesday that he was a possibility for Thursday, the 28-year-old has officially been ruled out of the game against the Kings. Depending on how the team plays and Joshua's health, he could make his season debut on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers.
