Blueger missed Day 1 and is still recovering from offseason surgery.

Day 2 of Vancouver Canucks Training Camp kicked off with the return of a familiar face. Teddy Blueger, who missed the first day of camp, was on the ice, skating as part of Group C. According to GM Patrik Allvin, Blueger is still recovering from surgery he had on his lower body but was said to be ready to go in approximately a week.
While the details of Blueger's injury are not fully known, he did miss multiple events this past offseason. He was slated to play in both Da Beauty League and for Latvia during their 2026 Winter Olympics qualifiers but did not participate in either. Blueger's early return is a good sign as it means he may be ready to join the main group before the end of Training Camp.

Last season, Blueger played a valuable role in the bottom six as well as on the penalty kill. He tied his career high with 28 points and won 53.1% of his faceoffs. Blueger was also part of one of the best third lines in hockey, as he, Conor Garland and Dakota Joshua outscored opponents 21-10 in over 360 minutes together.
