The Vancouver Canucks enter the 2025 NHL Entry Draft with six picks. They have a selection in each round except the fourth, which was dealt in order to acquire Evander Kane. Overall, this draft has plenty of intriguing prospects who could play key roles for the Canucks in the future.
With the draft being only a day away, it is time to look at some prospects who Vancouver could select. This mock draft was created using FCHockey's Mock Draft Builder, which allows users to simulate all seven rounds fully. With this in mind, here are six prospects the Canucks could add to their system during the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Braeden Cootes is the exact type of player Vancouver should be looking to add to their system. The Seattle Thunderbirds captain recorded 63 points in 60 games and has developed into one of the WHL's best two-way centers. A leader on and off the ice, Cootes has the skill set to become an impactful middle-six center at the NHL level.
With their second selection, the Canucks could head to the OHL to select Kitchener Rangers center Luca Romano. Listed at 5'11", 176 lbs, the right-shot centerman posted 51 points in 67 games before recording an additional 11 in 16 post-season outings. A player who can impact the game in all three zones, Romani has the potential to be a middle/bottom-six center in the NHL.
If the Canucks want to add some size to the blue line, than Cater Amico could be their guy. Listed at 6'6", 234 lbs, the right-shot defenceman played this season with the U.S. National U18 Team and is headed to Boston University for the 2026-27 season. A physical force, Amico is the type of player that all teams are keen to add to their prospect pool.

In the fifth round, a smart target for Vancouver would be Teddy Mutryn. Listed at 6'1", 207 lbs, the right-shot center spent the majority of the season with the Chicago Steel of the USHL, where he put up 30 points in 37 games. Bound for Boston College for the 2026-27 season, Mutryn is a long-term project who could turn into a draft-day steal in the future.
Shifting back to defence, a good sixth round option for the Canucks would be Felix Färhammar. Listed at 6'1", 185 lbs, the left-shot defender recorded 21 points in 43 games with Örebro HK J20 this past season. A defenceman who loves to get pucks on net, Färhammar could be a sneaky late-round pick this year.
With their last selection, Vancouver could head back to the OHL and select defenceman Daniil Skvortsov. The left-shot defender is listed at 6'4", 214 lbs and recorded 18 points in 59 games with the Guelph Storm this season. In the end, Skvortsov is an intriguing prospect who could develop into a solid two-way defender at the pro level.
