As of midnight ET on July 1, 2025, five players on the Vancouver Canucks have new No-Movement or No-Trade Clauses that have come into effect. Center Elias Pettersson, Filip Hronek, Marcus Pettersson and Kevin Lankinen all have No Movement Clauses, while Drew O'Connor has a 12-Team No Trade Clause. No Movement Clauses prevent someone from being traded, sent to minors or waived without player approval, while No Trade Clauses limit how many teams a player can block a trade to.
Starting with Pettersson, he has a No Movement Clause for the remainder of his contract. The 26-year-old has seven years left on his current deal, which carries an AAV of $11.6 million. Despite trade rumours, the organization has elected to keep the former Calder Trophy winner, hoping that he can bounce back after an injury-riddled season.
Hronek's contract features both a No Movement and a No Trade Clause. The 27-year-old has a No Movement Clause until July 1, 2028, when his contract shifts to a 15-team No Trade Clause. Hronek is signed until 2032 and carries an AAV of $7.25 million.
As for the other Pettersson, Marcus is similar to Hronek in that his contract has both a No Movement and a No Trade Clause. The 29-year-old has a No Movement Clause up until July 1, 2028, when his contract shifts to a 15-team No Trade Clause. Pettersson is signed until 2031 and carries an AAV of $5.5 million.

Like Pettersson and Hronek, Lankinen's No Movement Clause also shifts to a No Trade Clause before expiring. The 30-year-old has a No Movement Clause up until July 1, 2027, when his contract shifts to a 15-team No Trade Clause. Lankinen is signed until 2030 and carries an AAV of $4.5 million.
Lastly, O'Connor has a 12-team No Trade Clause for the entirety of his contract. The 27-year-old must submit his list at the beginning of the season, and is allowed to block a move to 12 teams of his choosing. O'Connor is signed until 2027 and carries an AAV of $2.5 million.
