The Vancouver Canucks sent four players to the AHL and one back to the OHL.
The Vancouver Canucks have reduced their 2024 pre-season roster by five players. Tristian Nielsen, Danila Klimovich, Ty Young and Chase Wouters have been assigned to the Abbotsford Canucks, while Vilmer Alrkisson is headed back to the OHL to join the Guelph Storm. The move comes just a few days before Abbotsford is set to open its 2024 Training Camp, which is scheduled for October 2 through 5.
Nielsen, Klimovich and Young are all signed by the Canucks and will be competing for spots on the AHL roster. Last season, Nielsen and Klimovich both played for Abbotsford while Young was still in junior with the Prince George Cougars. As for Wouters, he was released from his PTO and will head back to the AHL, where he will be the captain of the Canucks for the third straight season.
