The latest NHL franchise valuations have been released, with the Vancouver Canucks ranked 13th in the NHL at $1.73 billion USD. According to Sportico's list, the Canucks saw a 44% value increase after finishing 2023 with a $1.2 billion USD evaluation. Vancouver also ranks fourth among Canadian teams, with only the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Montreal Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers ranking higher.

To determine each team's evaluations, Sportico examines various metrics. Some of the categories include total value, team value, and team-related businesses and real estate holdings. On its site, Sportico states that it uses "publicly available information and financial records—as well as interviews with those knowledgeable of team finances, including eight sports bankers and lawyers who actively work on NHL transactions."

A massive positive from a league perspective is that all 32 teams are valued at over $1 billion USD. In 2023, ten teams were valued at under $1 billion USD, with the Arizona Coyotes ranked last at $675 million USD. This year's evaluations show that the league is trending upward and indicate that significant salary cap increases could be on the horizon.
