With the end of the 2025–26 AHL season approaching, the Abbotsford Canucks have now opened up fan voting for their team awards. This includes awards such as season MVP, Rookie of the Year, Unsung Hero, and Fan Favourite.
Last year, Abbotsford’s team awards went to players like Linus Karlsson (MVP), Arshdeep Bains (Fan Favourite), Ty Mueller (Unsung Hero), and Jonathan Lekkerimäki (Rookie of the Year). The season before that, Bains (MVP, Fan Favourite), Marc Gatcomb (Unsung Hero), and Max Sasson (Rookie of the Year) also earned awards.
Another award that is given out by Abbotsford is their “Man of the Year” award, which typically is not voted on but “awarded to the Canuck who best exemplifies leadership, commitment and what it truly means to be a Canuck in the community,” as per last year’s press-release. Abbotsford captain Chase Wouters has won this award in each of the past three seasons.
Voting for Abbotsford’s team awards will close on March 29 at 11:59 pm PT. Those interested in voting can do-so at the link HERE. Expect the awards to be announced during their final home stand of the season, which begins on March 28 with a back-to-back against the San Diego Gulls and concludes on April 4 against the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
