The 2026 Prospect Showcase is scheduled for September 12 and 13.
The Vancouver Canucks are finally back in action... sort of. This weekend, Vancouver's top prospects will battle the Seattle Kraken's top prospects in Abbotsford. The 2026 Prospects Showcase will take place on September 12 at 4:00 pm PT and September 13 at 1:00 pm PT.
For fans who can't make it out to Rogers Forum, they can still watch both games online. According to a Canucks representative, the 2026 Prospects Showcase will be streamed on Canucks.com. The streams will also feature Brendan Batchelor doing play-by-play.
Vancouver's roster for the 2026 Prospects Showcase is stacked with talent. Some players to keep an eye on are Braeden Cootes, Adam Novotný, Brooks Rogowski and Aleksei Medvedev. The roster also includes some players who played for the Abbotsford Canucks last season, including Ty Mueller, Kirill Kudryavtsev and Sawyer Mynio.
As for the Kraken, their roster is stacked with young talent. Prospects expected to play big roles for Seattle during the two-game set include Jagger Firkus, Eduard Šalé, Carson Rehkopf and Oscar Fisker Mølgaard. Last year, Seattle hosted the event, as the two organizations agreed on a multi-year agreement back in 2025.
