With just a few weeks until opening night, anticipation is starting to build surrounding the Vancouver Canucks. GM Patrik Allvin and his team have built a deep squad, while it is clear that the players are buying into Rick Tocchet's style and philosophy. The start of a new season also means a new edition of The Hockey News' Yearbook, which this year's also includes player projection and fantasy advice. With this in mind, here are the four Canucks players THN projects to have career season in 2024-25.

Filip Hronek

After setting a new career high last season, THN predicts that Filip Hronek will once again shatter his previous mark. The 55-point projection is a seven-point increase from last year and would be tied for the tenth most points by a defenceman during a season in franchise history. If Hronek can keep firing rockets at the net, he should have no problem surpassing the 50-point mark while also setting a new career high.

Pius Suter

Pius Suter had a strong first year in Vancouver, recording 29 points in 67 games. A player that built some strong chemistry with Brock Boeser and J.T. Miller last season, THN has Suter setting a new career high with 37 points in 2024-25. With a 36-point campaign in the NHL already under his belt, Suter has what it takes to push the 40-point mark this season.

Dakota Joshua

Few players in the NHL provided more value compared to their contract last year than Dakota Joshua. The physical winger set new career highs in points with 32 and almost set the franchise record for hits in a season. Projected by THN to record 33 points in 2024-25, there is little doubt that Joshua will set a new career high in points once again.

Noah Juulsen

The fourth player listed is defenceman Noah Juulsen, who THN projects to have 13 points this season. This would be almost double his career high of seven and is doable, depending on how many games he plays. Known for his physicality, Juulsen has shown in the past he can be a playmaker who sets up teammates in scoring positions.
